All the Beirut news.

I've been wanting to write about this...but i cant really get my feeling straight on this sitation.

however i just read the most ignorant post online...a convert muslim basically saying that americans are stupid..and thats what we get....(personally i think she needs to re-evaluate her belifes...because islam is a non-violent relgion..)

many people know that on thursday a a major in the Army lost it, and went on a shooting rampage.

i was at home that day watching the news at broke...and my mom said to me..."i hope he is not middle eastern"..
then ...his name pop's up!

it's really sad what happened...its pathetic! i know that their is a lot of questions that need to be answered. people want to know if he did because of his relgion, or his race, or even if he was bullied because of who he was. IT DOESNT MATTER!!!!

what matters is that he turned fire on people who should have never been worried about their saftey around him. he took the lives of of mothers,sisters,children, fathers,cousin,friends.  yes they were about to be deployed ...but its their life....and he took it. he's scum!

he also took something away from muslims....he took away their right to exisit without his shame!  i feel so bad that last night on the news, some muslim community centers were getting nasty phone calls because of this incident....ignorant people think that islam to is blame for what he did.  and its not fair! they should not have to deal with this.

I'M NOT MUSLIM...but i firmly belive in truth...and a real muslim would not commit such acts.

i'm gonna go out on a limb..and i dont care if i offend anyone...but if you are muslim, and you condone these acts...you are not following islam properly, and are a disgrace to the mulsim people.

i'm sure some of you may be wondering how i can say such things...
because its the truth!
yes i'm catholic, but i was raised between Lebanon and the states...and (many ignorant people dont realize that about 35% of Lebanons population is chirstian) ... my father had me read the qu'ran as a teen so that i can know where my neighbors are comming from.....to me it was like reading the bible..
i have close muslim friends like family...

i'm just so upset by this!  and also by the reactions people have...oh he was harrased, some will say....SO WHAT!  it doesnt give anyone the right to kill another.

A FEW MORE THINGS;

1. being muslim is a relgion...its not a race!
2. middle eastern people arent all muslim...there are many chirstians who are middle eastern
3. converting to islam ...doesnt make you middle eastern. be who you are! if you are western...dont rant about anti western stuff, it makes you look silly!

(my post isnt meant to bash on converts eaither...there are many converts who practicing islam because it  gives them strength and inspires their belifes...my post was just genrated out of something i read from someone  who seems to be practicing something for the wrong reasons)

TO AMERICANS:
being american is being an immigrant, or being a decendent of an immigrant. there is no american race! we are all here because of dreams that our parents had for us.  no american has the right to judge based on race, or relgion, because thats no what america is.....otherwise you wouldnt be here.

UPDATE: heres a link to a article on the huffington post. its about major hasan. they have an interview with someone who knew major hasan...and prayed with him the morning of the shooting.  it also said that at fort hood their are 10,000 american mulsims serving...and about 300-400 muslim families living on the base.
