I think Saint Maroun is crying today, he is hurt more than any time before, he’s humiliated to see that his anniversary is politicized and misused by some who are still insisting on imposing themselves to this Holy sect,  a sect that offered the world four Saints and yet many others to come.
Regardless our political position, Saint Maroun anniversary is still a religious event in the first place, which means it should be celebrated by the Patriarch and the Bishops who are the real respnsible for managing its affairs, as it is the case in each religion or sect in the world.
Od course everybody have the right to honor the father of Maronites, mainly in his hometown, but in return they are not allowed to consider any event they organize as the official celebration, just for political purposes, it is so wrong, unless they would want to move the Patriarch headquarter out of Bkerki and shift it to Syria.
In this regard, let’s ask how can we describe the participation of the three Maronites politicians in Brad’s celebration?
How can we accept the participation of Emile Lahoud, who has been absent from this occasion throughout his 9 years in Presidency?
How can we accept the participation of Sleiman Frangieh who has disrespected the Patriarch and the Bishops at numerous occasions?
How can we accept the participation of Michel Aoun who has sent his thugs to attack and humiliate the Patriarch and whi is always attacking him?
In this day, we’re stuck to our Saint, we must celebrate his anniversary as we should, by offering him all the respect and love, and by preventing using his name or status only to score some political points.
Only by doing that, we can give Saint Maroun his rights and bring back his smile and tranquility.
